Alaska Waste , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a CDL Trainee to join our team in Wasilla , AK. We will train you and help you get your Class B CDL for free!

The schedule will be Monday – Thursday, 5:30am start time, 10 hours per day. Pay will be $19-23 per hour, depending on experience . Once you get your CDL and your route, you will jump to $25.00 per hour! Position will switch to a Roll-Off driver. Must be able to work on Saturday. Will get two consecutive days off during the week.

This is a labor-intensive position requiring regular heavy lifting.

We are looking for laborers who are interested in starting a driving career and grow, within the company.

Responsibilities Include:

• Quickly obtaining CDL Permit and DOT Medical Card.

• Picking up litter around site.

• General site cleanup.

• Container Assembly and/or repairs as needed.

• Other assigned laborer duties.

Requirements:

• Valid Class D license, and ability to obtain CDL within first 90 days of employment.

• At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor/operator type position.

• Willingness to do various tasks around site.

• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift.

• Clean driving record
