SUNY Upstate Medical University Team Leader in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

The Team Leader for Upstate Pediatrics is responsible for oversight of day to day administrative operations in pediatric clinic with multiple services. Staff management including hiring, performance reviews, training, staff scheduling, payroll, conflict resolution/disciplinary action. Works closely with clinic medical director, providers, Nursing, Hosp Finance, Hosp Administration, UUMAS, MSG, IMT, HIM, PAS, Lab, Radiology, and other departments to ensure smooth clinic operations and billing. Recommends and implements policies, procedures, and EMR changes. Affects operational improvements as needed to ensure regulatory compliance. Develops QI/PI initiatives in alignment with PCMH and VBP to facilitate patient flow & collection of registration information for delivery/billing for services. Monitors expenses for budget planning. Coordinates PCMH efforts, reviewing successes/barriers to achieving and maintaining PCMH goals, strategizes improvements that benefit patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree and three years relevant administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational and computer skills, and supervisory experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a medical practice setting preferred.

Work Days:

M-F days, occasional Saturday mornings.
