Lead Maintenance/Construction Specialist Come Join the Utah State Park family by working at beautiful Sand Hollow State Park. The Lead Maintenance/Construction Specialist performs a wide variety of skilled maintenance/ construction duties and normally serves as the functional supervisor of journey maintenance and construction specialists and general maintenance workers. Position maintains existing facilities and leads new construction projects that allow the park to succeed and impact the recreational experience of the visiting public in a positive way. This position will be supervised by the Building & Grounds Supervisor II and assist with hiring and training park staff to care for facilities of Sand Hollow State Park.   Principal Duties: Lead or functionally supervise staff; delegate work assignments,monitor/review quality of work,schedule staff,provide technical assistance or training,and/or provide input on performance appraisal,hiring and discipline. Build,fabricate or repair structures,equipment,and/or miscellaneous articles from verbal instructions,blueprints and/or working drawings. Perform general facility maintenance including painting,carpentry,masonry,plumbing,electrical,as well as general cleaning and sanitation. Assist with the Quagga Mussel Interdiction Program at Sand Hollow State Park. Perform related plumbing,mechanical,painting and pipe fitting,etc.,duties. Weld,solder,braze,grind,and/or fabricate various materials.   The Ideal Candidate: Ability to perform a variety of complex maintenance activities The ability to Manage one's own time and the time of others.
