Business Unit - CI Services Division (CISD) Business Center - CISD Divisional Strategy Department Description - CISD Divisional Strategy Summary: The main function of a graphic designer is to create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on design principles and concepts. A typical graphic designer needs to have a high level of creativity and able to communicate their ideas to both internal and external clients. The ability to be flexible to client demands, work well under pressure and multi-task are required skills. Position’s Contributions to Work Group: - Provide design support for executive office messaging and materials. Support Senior VP communications internally and externally with Dealers. Typical task breakdown: - Develop presentation materials and support senior leaders in crafting executive level messaging. Interaction with team: - Work with VPs and SVP to develop executive level messaging and presentation materials Job Responsibilities: • Plan, analyze and create visual solutions to communication problems. • Develop overall layout and production design of publications or web interfaces as they relate to graphic design. • Prepare sketches or layouts to present to client. • Create charts and graphs from data given. Skills: • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability are required. • Ability to utilize various forms of media, including print, electronic and film. • Ability to visualize in 2D and 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design. • Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate new images. • Experience with Adobe publishing and graphics software a plus. Education & Experience Required: - Bachelor’s degree in graphic design - 5+ years of job-related experience required - Relevant Master’s Degree will be considered as two years experience toward requirement. Projects/internships would be inclusive within that Master’s and would not be considered as additional experience. Technical Skills (Required) - Experience in Microsoft Suite (specifically in PowerPoint) - Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) - Strong understanding and application of design principles and typography - Ability to learn and apply branding guidelines to presentations and other visual communications (Desired) - Strong writing and communication skills - Ability to simplify complex information - Basic video editing Soft Skills (Required) - Strong communication and relationship building - Ability to manage multiple topics and deliverables at once - Creative and thought-provoking - Courage
