Job Description

Pay Range $19-$21

3rd Shift Monday - Thursday 9:00p-7:00a

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continual basis. It does not exclude other duties that may be assigned.)

  • Accurately use inventory control system to track material movements from inventory locations to production departments

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and correct any inventory transaction errors or inaccuracies.

  • Ensure all products are being scanned correctly and paperwork is kept in an orderly fashion

  • Set-up of production areas during shift start up, changeovers, and shift close.

  • Manage a team of 8-10 forklift drivers and material handlers

  • Ensure all paperwork is signed and accurate

  • Use RF Smart to pick raw materials

  • Ensure all forklift operators are using RF smart to pick product or move to warehouse locations

  • Communicate effectively with management, leads, and operators across multiple departments

  • Follow production schedule ensuring appropriate materials are delivered to production departments, and all inventory system transactions are accurately performed

  • Responsible for the training of employees and new hires as assigned by the supervisor

  • Assist with physical inventory inspection and measurements as required

  • Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and/or other material handling equipment

  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in all inventory storage locations

  • Practice proper safety techniques

  • Complete general area maintenance duties on equipment as assigned. This may include help from the maintenance department when necessary

  • Follow all procedures and guidelines

  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested

    Education/ Experience:

    Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Good mechanical aptitude

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) Required

  • Attendance/Punctuality- Is consistently at work and on time

  • Quality- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; maintains a clean and organized work environment

  • Quantity- Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivity

  • Safety- Observes all safety procedures and policies, reports potentially unsafe conditions to supervisors; Uses equipment and materials properly

  • Good attention to detail

  • Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions

  • Forklift operators must have unimpaired or corrected vision that enable them to adequately see pedestrians, products, and safety hazards.

  • Position requires frequent bending, gripping, standing, twisting and use of senses.

  • Position requires regular stretching and reaching.

  • Position may require walking and sitting for long periods of time.

  • Position requires lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.

    Position requires lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 100 pounds occasionally.
