The Retirement Strategies Pricing team is a part of the Actuarial function directly supporting the Retirement Strategies business in achieving its objectives of investing in growth opportunities, delivering industry-leading experiences, and creating the next generation of solutions. The Pricing team serves an important role as strategic advisor to the Retirement Strategies business in driving pricing and product decisions by providing financial projections and insights into drivers of financial outcomes.
Retirement Strategies Growth Initiative, Structured Settlements, and SPIA Pricing team is seeking an Actuarial Associate to support execution of Annuity product innovation, as well as profitability, model, and process refinement for new and existing products.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
Primary work locations: Newark, NJ or Hartford, CT
What you can expect:
Execute on the viability, profitability, and risk reviews of innovative solutions that cross between individual annuities and institutional retirement solutions
Support a climate of collaboration, engagement, curiosity, talent development, innovation, and business leadership
Contribute to the development of communications and materials used with a diverse set of stakeholders
Execute on ongoing benefit pricing for existing product solutions under guidance of more senior peers
Update and maintain Standards of Practice, products and assumption documentation as it relates to products within our purview
What youll need:
Background in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other quantitative field
Two or more actuarial exams passed is a plus
Ability to understand complex quantitative concepts and financial projection model
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Office-suite software
Working knowledge of, or exposure to, programming language such as Python, C#, SQL, VBA, MatLab a plus
Itd be a plus if you had:
Familiarity with Life/Annuity products, capital markets a plus
Highly motivated, innovative problem solver and conceptual thinker that excels in collaborative work environments
Ability to communicate complex quantitative topics a plus

The salary range for this role is from $67,500.00 to $100,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
