Google Strategic Partner Manager, Channel Partner, Google Customer Solutions in Los Angeles, California

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, product management, or tech consulting

  • Experience in simultaneously managing multiple internal/external projects

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to promote, influence, and drive complex/large-scale product integrations

  • Ability to exceed quarterly business goals within the context of channel partnerships

  • Ability to manage cross-functional internal and external stakeholders and influence their priortization and OKRs

  • Ability to think strategically about complex issues and develop recommendations and action plans

  • Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholder groups of all levels, on both technical and non-technical matters

Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing businesses grow. Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As a Strategic Partner Manager, you will build and enhance successful partnerships, influence internal and external partners, and implement strategic partnership plans. You'll help both large, incumbent technology platforms and venture-backed technology start-ups, and all who provide native digital advertising solutions to small businesses, with a variety of projects ranging from helping partners build entirely new businesses promoting online advertising to their existing client base to negotiating complex agreements and relationships.

Our teams of strategists, analysts, advisers and support specialists collaborate closely to spot and analyze customer needs and trends. In collaboration, we create and implement business plans broadly for all types of businesses.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Manage and maximize customer acquisition and business generation through Google's Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) channel partners.

  • Implement processes for managing, engaging, and expanding partnerships.

  • Develop strategic account plans with focus toward identifying creative, business generating initiatives.

  • Lead cross-functional team (e.g., Marketing, Sales Engineering, Training, Editorial/Optimization, Product) towards a common goal with specific partners. Train new partners on how to promote and fulfill Google advertising products.

  • Forecast and report business and other key metrics, including tracking actual progress toward forecasts. Lead ad hoc projects focused on the strategic growth of the program. Speak at relevant industry events as a Google advocate.
