Ecolab Inc Industrial Designer in Eagan, Minnesota

This Industrial Designer / Senior Industrial Designer will join our in-house design team within the Global Sensors & Equipment group of Ecolab RD&E. They will be responsible for working cross-divisionally, supporting the development of innovative product solutions and customer experiences. Broad exploration of ideas and concepts will be encouraged to help lay the foundation for current and future product launches. A successful candidate would possess a high degree of innovation, creativity, and be prepared to support all aspects of the concept development process. Work will include user research, concept development, brand implementation, prototyping, user testing, collaborating with varied disciplines, and supporting products through commercialization. What you will do: Support the industrial design process from user research through product commercialization Lead tactical and mid-size concept development efforts Collaborate with seasoned designers to support large-scale programs Create visual assets and physical prototypes for user testing and feedback sessions Implementation of Ecolab's visual brand language Effectively convey ideas, concepts, and prototypes to development teams and stakeholders Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate technical feasibility and commercialization approach Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Mechanical Engineering 2+ years professional design and/or engineering experience Experience in rapid visualization methods such as hand sketching and concept model making Proficient in CAD modeling software including advanced surfacing techniques Experience in design work covering all aspects of concept development Strong communication and organizational skills, and high attention to detail Sponsorship is not offer for this role Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with design thinking, experience design, and service design Proficient in SolidWorks, Keyshot, Sketchbook Pro, and the Adobe CS Suite Experience with visual brand language development General manufacturing knowledge with an emphasis in plastic molding and part design UX/UI experience including task analysis, wireframing, navigation, and visual design Experience in customer needs identification and requirements gathering Benefits Ecolab strives to provide comprehensive and market-competitive benefits to meet the needs of our associates and their families.to see our benefits.
