  • Job Summary

  • Under supervision of Recovery Services Manager will work independently to perform office responsibilities related to reception, registration and checkout of patients. Under supervision of physician/nurse practitioner, physician assistant, provides quality nursing care for assigned patients. Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills. Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization. Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance. Collaborates with Nursing to optimize patient pain management. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).

  • Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort

  • Works in a well-lit, ventilated and air conditioned area. Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights and sounds. Long periods of remaining in a stationary position and moving around the department are required. Risks exposure to disease, infection, physical strain and assault. Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation and antineoplastic agents. Must be able to move 25 lbs. around the office independently.

  • Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited CMA training program.

  • Experience: Preferred one (1) year CMA experience in clinical setting with previous work history considered.

  • EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: (See Competency Checklist.)

  • Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations

  • Current CMA Certificate in the State of Kentucky. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (successful completion within three [3] months of employment).
