Department Summary:

The System and Mission Analysis Department is charged with identifying, developing, and applying new technologies that can address the Government's most challenging Engineering problems.

This position provides challenging opportunities to apply and expand one’s systems architecture, modeling and tradespace analysis skills.

Specific areas of interest include practical application of AI, Digital Engineering, architecture modeling, modeling and analysis of complex systems, and decision support.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work in cross-functional teams to develop and implement AI-enhanced decision systems.

  • Apply modern AI and engineering techniques to develop decision support software prototypes based on analysis of workflow and operational needs.

  • Provide Model Based Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering and Artificial Intelligence thought leadership and expertise in the development and evaluation of complex federal systems engineering efforts.

  • Propose and execute novel, cutting-edge research in Al-enhanced decision systems.

  • Evaluate Al solutions against sponsor requirements and produce actionable recommendations.

  • Develop modeling and simulation applications to perform detailed analysis by leveraging data from multiple engineering disciplines.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. Computer Science or related discipline, 10 + years of applicable experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

  • Must have an active Secret clearance (or higher) for consideration.

  • Experience supporting a variety of Federal sponsors such as: The IC, DoD, Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

  • Ability to articulate challenges in high-stakes decision making with AI and identify gaps.

  • Documented success integrating AI capabilities into proposed solutions to support sponsor goals.

  • A broad knowledge of digital engineering and operational analysis processes and tools and their application to produce data-driven analysis results to senior government leaders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate challenging technical concepts to both lay and expert audiences.

  • Familiarity with standard ML stack (Tensorflow/Torch, NumPy, Pandas, etc.)

  • A keen interest in learning about and rapidly responding to new problems across a variety of domains.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or related disciplines

  • Preference given to qualified candidates with active Top Secret clearance.

  • Track-record of successful deployment of AI/ML systems or components that have been used by customers or stakeholders outside of a lab/experimental setting

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$181,000 - $226,000 - $271,000 Annual
