Job Summary:

Trane in Columbia, SC is hiring an Equipment Fulfillment Team Leader to join our team. This role is a player/coach role in which you will be responsible for coaching and developing the Systems Sales Fulfillment Team as well as managing all in-office aspects of assigned HVAC Equipment projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the team by fostering a customer-focused culture and builds strong relationships with team members, account managers, local leadership, peers, and customers.

  • Develops and coaches a strong, diverse team to achieve performance goals and business results.

  • Drives continuous improvement using the company’s performance management process, PDC.

  • Stays current with company-wide process and system changes to roll-out to the team and provide support as needed.

  • Owns customer satisfaction metrics for the local Fulfillment team.

  • Monitors Office level Equipment stream A/R and drives resolution of disputes.

  • Maximizes revenue and ensures compliance with accounting principles by monitoring and driving key financial metrics.

  • Ensures EHS compliance within team and completion of all safety training.

  • Drives operational excellence within our equipment business using lean practices and processes.

  • Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction.

  • Compares estimated ship dates with contractors’ project schedule.

  • Generates work orders for equipment start-ups.

  • Coordinates with contractors and owners to discuss scope of project; budgets; performance; and close-out.

  • Responsible for project cash-flow management: progress billing, collections support and monitoring, and resource management.

  • Establishes a professional relationship with the customer and interfaces constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews.

  • Responsible for preparing the correct equipment for order entry.

  • Validates outside equipment and service purchase prices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of project management, equipment, HVAC or related experience; OR a minimum of four (4) years of project management, equipment, HVAC or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature equipment preferred.

  • Strong, demonstrated customer service and problem solving skills

  • Strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high paced environment with attention to detail.

Base Pay Range: $87,300 - 115,700 yearly + incentive plan

This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule and will be based out of our Columbia, SC location. Candidates can also be located in Charleston, with the ability to travel to Columbia once a week. Flexible work from home options available.
