Google Director, Channel and Services Sales Finance, Google Cloud in Austin, Texas

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or equivalent practical experience

  • 15 years of experience in a finance/sales finance function or experience in a relevant and applicable area of business.

  • 10 years of people management experience

  • 5 years of experience supporting both channel and services businesses in the technology industry

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in cloud or another fast paced, growing industry

  • Experience developing complex financial models and writing and reviewing complex proposals

  • Experience preparing presentations and presenting to senior executives and/or boards of directors

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

As Director, you will lead the finance team supporting the Google Cloud Channel and Services organizations (including Resell and Influenced, Consulting, Customer Success, Learning and Support). You will be responsible for all financial aspects across all regions. You will be accountable for all finance processes related to forecasts, budgeting and reporting, ensuring all reported financials are timely and accurate. You will lead all work, whether it’s modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions.

In this role, you will focus on the details while finding creative ways to manage big picture challenges. You will be both a Director and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial experts. You'll keep executive management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout the organization.

Additionally, you will report into the Senior Director, Core Go-To-Market Sales Finance and will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, analysis, budgeting and management reporting processes for the Vice Presidents of Cloud Channel, Google Cloud Consulting and Cloud Support. You will be the trusted advisor for the leaders leading this function. You will also drive streamlined reporting and ad hoc analysis to provide greater insights impacting our internal/external stakeholders.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $243,000-$350,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Serve as Finance Business Partner to the Vice Presidents of Cloud Channel, Google Cloud Consulting and Cloud Support, and their management teams.

  • Lead the Sales annual and Long Range Plan process for these functions.

  • Implement rolling four quarter forecasts of business generation, Bookings, Expense, Headcount, and Contribution Margin.

  • Drive the business to achieve the annual plan, be an advocate of the management team, and keep the team focused on the overall budgeted objective.

  • Call the forecast for business generation, Expense, Headcount, and Sales Expense and ensure Quarter Close processes are adhered to.
