Riverview Psychiatric Center (https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/riverview) is a hospital specializing in providing state of the art care to individuals in Maine with severe and persistant mental illness. Riverview is located on the Kennebec River in Augusta, Maine. Augusta is Maine’s capital city located one hour north of Portland, an award-winning city with excellent cultural opportunities and two and a half hours north of Boston. With a new state of the art high school, world class cancer care center, and the exciting redevelopment of the riverfront and downtown, Augusta is a wonderful place to live and work.

Job duties:

Riverview Psychiatric Center (https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/riverview) is seeking a Customer Rep Associate I to work in the hospital's operations area. This is office support and clerical work involving the supervision of a central security system. Keeping pertinent records and maintaining operations of the 24/7 building control area is of most importance. Work involves responsibility for speed and accuracy in placing and answering a high volume of calls each shift. Additionally this position is reponsible for the assignment of state vehicles, monitoring cameras, and issuing of facility keys. This position communicates with security and maintenance staff, monitors operations of the pager system, maintains log books, data entry and communicates and refers non-routine problems to supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of the principles and practices of quality customer service to perform complex work in assisting the public on matters such as communication transmissions, employment, ferry, social, or public services; and 2) ability to use independent judgment in handling exceptions to established work assignments, priorities, and schedules.
